Clara shared her testimony, and Nicole was impressed by the Lord to purchase and bless everyone with a tea cup so that we could be reminded to take "tea time" with Jesus daily.

Out for coffee and some good girlfriend time.

Sharon Shantz, Clara Meloni, and Nicole Dorrell.  Clara is one of the NH4W instructors at Riverside Correctional Facility. Both Sharon and Nicole went to our Bible Studies during the time at RCF.  Sometimes we meet with women after they leave prison to encourage them in their walk with the Lord.  Accountability and encouragement are HUGE in the process of discipleship.

Out to Dinner on the Chesapeake the last night of our Women's Retreat.

A small group of us went to the Chesapeake to hear from the Lord.  His Word to us was "Reposition Yourself in Christ".  We studied His Word, and we had great fun by the pool.

Go into all the world making disciples baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Toiletries, candy and cookies filled each basket to give to women in a recovery house in Kensington.  This small gesture is to encourage those struggling with addiction, that they are not alone and that Jesus cares.

Ted Koppel from Nightline visits New Hope For Women

            Picture
Ted Koppell from ABC's Nightline News came to NH4W in 2005 to do a followup story on a drug addict, Seville whose life was changed after meeting Jesus.  JoAnn met Seville in his "abandominium" in the Badlands and demonstrated the love of Christ to Seville and others.  Many of those individuals came for sandwiches and prayer and no longer live on the streets in their addiction.  They have turned their life around, as did Seville, who now goes by his real name Merrill Michael Jackson.
