Recent News 2008
- We have just completed our 5th semester of classes, and our 5th graduating class shows great promise. We have several women who will be released soon, and hopefully will be involved with our outside ministry, and they are already asking how they can help others. Our recent graduating class was made up of 10 very dedicated women. We are hoping that they will be the first members of our NHFW choir on the outside!
- In December 2007, NHFW was the recipient of a McDonald's grant. One of the women who went through the NHFW program a few years back currently is a manager for McDonald's. She entered a contest which the contestants were to write an essay about their favorite charitable organization. She wrote about NHFW and won. So Ronald McDonald came to NHFW to present us a check. We had a Christmas party for children and their parents where we gave away presents which were provided by Riverside Community Church. Ronald McDonald got on his unicycle and juggled to entertain our guests. We all had a great time of fun.
