Nicole returns to Riverside Correctional Facility
Nicole promised the residents at RCF that one day she would return to the prison, but it would not be in a blue uniform as a resident. Today was the day she kept that promise. She returned to encourage women that there is life after prison if you make the right choices to change the behavior and lifestyle that got you in there in the first place. Nicole shared that it was through her relationship with Jesus Christ that she was able to make better choices for her life. It was through the power of the resurrected Christ within her that she realized that she had power over sin in her life. She discovered that when she prioritized and made Jesus first, that He was good for His promise to restore to her the very things in life worth having, like relationships with her mom and children, self esteem, and her independence. Her independence came from having a job, getting back into school with a college opportunity (with a 4.0 average, and honors), her own apartment, a bank account and even a credit card! "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and then all these other things will be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 She offered living proof to inmates today that God is faithful to His

Being the hands and feet to incarcerated women.
Riverside Correctional Facility, Philadelphia Pa.
This year New Hope For Women Instructors will be teaching a weekly Bible Study to the women at Riverside Correctional Facility and provide one on one counseling. As a chaplain, I get to meet women who have committed very horrible crimes, and need to know the unconditional love of Christ and the power of forgiveness provided for them on the cross. As I meet with them, I encourage them to plug into our Bible Study and learn how to walk with Jesus. We provide movies such as "Passion of Christ" and "Mary Magdalen" and follow up discussion. This year we will host 2 Big Events in the gym at the prison, bringing in guest speakers, praise and worship teams and intercessors to bless and encourage the women in their spiritual growth. New Hope For Women partners with the Executive Director of Choices, Inc. a pro-life organization. Jan provides counseling for the pregnant moms, and for those who have made the decision to have an abortion. Also adding to our service, we have had several successful women who have been repeat offenders at Riverside during my time as chaplain. I have seen them get saved, fall and recommit themselves to the Lord, get baptized and grow in the relationship with the Lord, and now they are ready to return to share their story with others and encourage them to stay the course. We are always open to bringing in guests with us. It is a simple procedure of getting clearance, and finding a date to get you in. If you would be interested, please give me a call or email me.
Fleurette visits RCF
Fleurette came with me to visit the women at RCF and brought her guitar. She sang worship music, and the women were very touched by the sweet presence of the Lord.
